A helping hand

Let’s untangle it.

For a technical issue, tell us your iPhone model, iOS version, Fleu version, what you expected, and what happened instead. If there’s an error message, include its wording.

Please leave out journal entries and other sensitive information. If you send a screenshot, crop or cover any private text, profile details and photos first.

What do I need to use Fleu?

Fleu requires iOS 26 or later on an Apple Intelligence-capable iPhone. Apple Intelligence must be enabled and its on-device model ready. Device, language, region and model availability can affect access. An iPhone running iOS 26 is not necessarily Apple Intelligence-capable.

How do I get the beta?

Use the Fleu TestFlight invitation and follow Apple’s instructions. Beta access depends on availability. The App Store release is coming soon; there is no App Store download link yet.

Why won’t my entry save?

Saving currently requires successful on-device mood analysis. If Apple Intelligence is disabled, its model is not ready, or analysis fails, the entry cannot be saved. Check the message in the app and your Apple Intelligence settings. Keep a separate copy of important unsaved text before closing the app or troubleshooting. Do not uninstall the app as a first troubleshooting step.

Does Fleu need a separate account?

No separate Fleu login is required. Private iCloud sync uses the Apple account signed into your device. Switching or signing out of that account is not a way to delete the old account’s data or local profile caches.

Why hasn’t my journal or profile synced?

Sync depends on iCloud availability and can take time. Check that you are signed into the intended Apple account, that iCloud is available, and that you have a network connection. A profile edit may still be waiting to sync. Keep your existing data in place while troubleshooting; deleting and reinstalling is not a safe first step.

Why is a linked photo missing?

Journal photos are links to originals in Apple Photos, not image copies stored with your entries. Check Photos access in Settings or use Manage Selected Photos in Fleu to allow access to the original. If the photo is in iCloud Photos, a network connection may be needed to download it. On another device, the same original must be available through iCloud Photos. Try viewing or refreshing the photo after access or syncing is restored. Do not reinstall as a first step: it can lose device-only photo links. Removing a link or deleting an entry does not delete the original from Photos. Read about photo storage and retention.

Is my writing sent to an AI service?

Mood analysis uses Apple’s on-device Foundation Models, not a third-party AI endpoint. Saved entries and mood estimates can still leave the device through private iCloud sync. These are separate data flows.

Can the mood estimate be wrong?

Yes. An estimate of emotional tone is not a definitive account of how you feel. Use trends as a prompt for reflection, not a diagnosis or medical advice.

How do I delete my data?

In Profile, Delete all entries removes entries and daily summaries present on that device and updates statistics. These changes save together locally and sync through iCloud, but this does not instantly clear every device or backup. Profile and preferences remain. Clear optional fields in Edit profile and Save to update the current profile. Uninstalling does not erase all iCloud data. Read the full deletion limitations before taking action.
